Medicine for Pregnant
You are waiting for a baby! When the joy and emotion on this are a little bit over, you start to think about in which hospital you would like to give birth, what medical and related legal issues you will encounter …
Your rights
The Constitution provides health right, regardless of gender, race, nationality and residence. Therefore, every pregnant woman has the right of having medical care and supervision in state and municipal health facilities free of charge at the expense of the relevant budget, insurance contributions and other income. Recently pregnant women were discharged so-called birth certificate, which is intended to provide additional funding for counseling and maternity house. This document confirms the fact that the woman should receive free medical care throughout pregnancy and during childbirth.
The certificate has two parts – one includes free supervising physician, the collection of mandatory tests, surveys during pregnancy, and the second – to pay for the maternity house. To obtain the certificate, the expectant mother must bring her passport in consultation, the policy of compulsory medical insurance card and the state pension insurance.
The important thing is that the certificate is issued 30 weeks earlier. Women don’t receive money as the price can differ depending on medical equipment of the medical establishment and paying the staff. So it turns out that the expectant mother, giving preference to certain prenatal consultation and maternity hospital, herself defines the medical institution, which receives support from the state.
Of course, in principle, the quality of service in the consultation does not affect the transfer of public money from the certificate, and in case of violation of women’s rights, pregnant may file a complaint with the agency or go to court. Nevertheless, these institutions appeared to be a better incentive than others, there is healthy competition, and beneficial to themselves, and a woman who purchased the latest equipment and medicines, improved terms of being a woman in a medical facility.
It should be noted that such a state program is intended only to state institutions, and it does not apply to private clinics and maternity hospitals.
If you have chosen to give childbirth at private maternity house…
Often a woman chooses paid medical center or a private clinic. To do this, you must enclose with the agency an agreement for the provision of paid services. In this case you are acting as a consumer and, therefore, such relations are governed by the laws on consumer protection. First of all, check for certificate and license for the selected type of activity, and what the features of working with clients. The contract should be concluded between you and the medical center; it must be prescribed by the terms and delays in obtaining medical services, payment arrangements, rights, duties and responsibilities of the parties. Read carefully and specify all details of the contract before you sign it. Payment for the provision of paid services should be done at medical institution with the use of cash machines (you must issue a receipt confirming and Proof of payment through cash). As consumers, patients in private clinics and hospitals have the right to make claims for damages caused by failure or improper performance of contract, damages in the event of injury to life and health, as well as compensation for moral damage.
Troubleshooting
However, in practice, not everything is so simple. In any case, remember that you can always consult a doctor, regardless the residence. The exceptions are small cities and towns, where the choice or transfer from one consultation to another is impossible, simply because a doctor serves a certain number of patients by law can not simply take someone else, and a woman herself cannot travel to neighboring village which may be far enough.
The main consulting physician is usually appointed by the head of the medical institution or by the choice of women, but again, provided that the desired doctor has not fixed the maximum number of services for patients, although it is necessary to write a statement and present to the chief physician the reasons why you prefer the specific physician.
According to the legislation on health care, everyone has the right to receive information about his/her health. As we have seen from the above, this applies to all, including to the future mother. Unfortunately, doctors often ignore the natural and legitimate desire of women to know what happens with them in a particular period of pregnancy, for which she needs to take prescribed medications and vitamins.
However, a woman can get the available information about her condition, including information about the survey
results, the presence or absence of disease-related or not related to pregnancy, the diagnosis, methods of treatment, on possible options for medical intervention and its consequences.
If necessary, or if there is any doubt about the diagnosis (for example, a woman suspected medical error because of lack of haste and carelessness in the treatment of clinical data and laboratory tests) she can consult with another physician or other specialized professionals.
A woman must be provided with copies of medical records (outpatient maps, surveys, tests, ultrasonic). If the doctor suggests a medical intervention or sends her to the hospital to identify the threat of termination of pregnancy, she can waive, although the patient should be explained the possible consequences. Such a refusal is made in the medical record documents, i.e. in the map (along with explaining the implications), and signed by women and health workers. In this case, the whole responsibility falls on your shoulders. The doctor will only continue to monitor your condition and if necessary, again ask you to go to hospital.
All information relating to pregnancy is a medical secret, and its disclosure is not permitted without the consent of the woman. That exception is, firstly, if the expectant mother is a minor in order to notify her parents or other legal representatives, because due to her age and inexperience, she can not and should not take a decision on retention or termination of pregnancy, and secondly, whether there are grounds for believing that the pregnancy is a result of rape, and thirdly, by request of investigative bodies, and, finally, while examining and treating women who are not able to express their will, for example when there are distinct signs of mental disorder.
In conclusion, I would say that we can and must enjoy our legitimate rights (in this case, of course, not abusing them) and be able to defend our interests – and then everything will be well.
Preparing for Childbirth
The desire to have a child, to take care for him/her, feed; cuddle a native little body – what can be more beautiful in this world!
Sometimes I sincerely regret our favorite men as they are not given a sense of all this.
However, the pregnancy is not only a great joy but also a great test- not only from a physiological point of view, but from the viewpoint of psychology. Before pregnancy woman could control her body. She could put on a few pounds, and then safely lose the weight in a few days, but now the obstetrician-gynecologist will follow your gained weight.
Previously, you could have a bad mood and easily to get rid of it, but now you will suddenly feel such anguish and fear that you do not know what to do and how to escape from its embrace.
How can you make all these nine months of happiness be really happy?
Fears during pregnancy
Experienced mothers say that they were not afraid of giving birth, but do not believe them; the fear of childbirth is always present in the female subconscious. If your experienced girlfriends say that they did not have fears when going to give birth – do not believe them. They were afraid! From the first days after you learn that a small and dear life is growing in your body, together with joy a fear comes to you. It applies literally to everything and it is not always easy to get rid of it.
For a fairly long time I have worked as a midwife in the hospital and if you only knew how much fear I’ve been listening! When I myself was pregnant, I was afraid of two things: to die during childbirth and that something should happen to the baby during childbirth. But these two terrors visited literally every pregnant woman. And they are natural. Because fear for relatives and fear of death should not be perceived as something wrong, it will always be typical only if it does not turn into a painful state.
But I’ve heard such things that the hair stood up on their top! I will never forget a young woman, who was holding my hand, crying and saying: “I haven’t gone to make ultrasonic observation, so I do not know who will be born – a boy or a girl. My husband wants a boy, and if it will be a girl he will not love me and won’t take her”. It’s very difficult to reassure the future mother that it does not matter who will be born – a boy or a girl, in any case the child will be a beloved one.
By the way, then, when I met the future father, he was very much surprised when I told him about the fears of his wife. He, at the very beginning of the pregnancy, jokingly said that it would be good to have a boy and only then a little girl! And since then, all nine months, the unfortunate kept this fear in her heart. Looking ahead, I want to say that she just gave birth to a boy. And everyone was happy, though, I’m sure, that if it were a girl, happiness would be no less. But the woman’s mind is ready to accept any detail.
The fear of the child appearance
As soon as you take your child in hands, the instinct will tell you what to do. But some women are afraid of a child. Especially if it is her first birth. “What to do with him/her? How do I take care?” For example, even a century before, pregnant women sewed clothes for their unborn babies – shirts, hats, socks, etc. Now, because of the very widespread prejudice, it is believed that you can not buy anything for the unborn child. Well, all right! We will not buy! But you can take a nice notebook and write in it, what you should buy, after your family will have a new member!
Once, I met a woman who in a colored notebook had written everything she needed to buy once the baby was born. She laughed and said that at every month of her pregnancy, she added new things. Then her husband, at her request, taking this notebook, after almost five days got absolutely everything! Then the happy father even complained that he had not even had time to celebrate the momentous event with friends. So much has been written in this notebook!
So do not be afraid! As soon as you take your child in your hands, the instinct will let you know what to do. And in the hospital, medical staff is always ready to show how to properly bathe and swaddle your baby and how to look after it.
The fear of pain during childbirth
Visit childbirth courses of pain fear. Do I need to talk about it? I think that’s necessary. Because, no matter how would a woman have a child, no matter how she is going to give birth, subconsciously she is afraid of pain. We all have different sensitivity. Some may be long enough to endure even the most severe pain, while others lose consciousness, even when they make the vaccine, or give the analysis of blood from the finger. It is very important to prepare psychologically. And it is very desirable to attend courses of preparing for childbirth, where pregnant women are taught methods of removal of pain during labor, how to learn to breathe during delivery.
By the way, I can say that these courses help very much. There are special exercises that can really take the twinge. And they are very simple, the main thing – do not panic and remember them when they need to be used.
Well, perhaps, the last … If you feel that you are unable to cope with these feelings and fears during pregnancy, do not hesitate and do not be afraid to ask for a good psychologist. Believe me, the advice of a good specialist can completely change your life! By the way, I have such an experience. Being pregnant, I was very afraid to walk on the streets with heavy traffic. I could not bring myself to cross the road and waited sometimes for 10-15 minutes, until the horizon was clean, and only then crossed the road. Well, I could not get rid of this fear of being put under the wheels of the car! And only the good advice of the psychologist completely freed me from this obsessive feeling.
Finally, I want to say that the pregnancy – is not a painful condition, but the most responsible and happiest time of your life. And if you understand and accept this from the very first days of pregnancy – it will be much better both for you and your baby!
Breast Milk Squeezing
Do you know that breastfeeding gives a baby not only saturation, but also love? It establishes relationship between mother and child. Perhaps, therefore, the truth remains unchanged that the best way is to breastfeed the child. But there are situations in a woman’s life when she has to feed a baby from the bottle, and squeezing becomes simply indispensable. How to overcome this problem? We tried to give some solution in this article:
When to squeeze milk?
In some cases, woman simply can not do without squeezing. It’s better to consider these cases beforehand in order to avoid feeding problems.
If you have too much milk (it happens between the second and fifth day after birth) squeezing helps the breast to relax, and your child can take it easier.
There are situations when only milk is not enough. In such cases, a woman usually wants to stop feeding. But wait! Sueezing with the help of a milk sucker will contribute to generating new milk.
After feeding your baby, you feel that your breast is not empty and you need to squeeze it, because extra milk in the breas can lead to such diseases as mastitis.
It’s not a secret that children often get sick. So if your baby is ill and does not want to suck the breast, don’t forget to squeeze breast milk every three hours. This will help to maintain lactation. If you work and want to continue to feed the baby, regular squeezing also contributes to lactation.
How else can you use the squeezed milk? For example, if you decide to go to the cinema or meet with friends, squeezed milk will be given to your child. Remember that breast milk is equally useful both in bottle, and when sucking from the breast.
How to squeeze?
Now you already know when to squeeze milk, so we’ll tell you how to do it.
First of all, it can be done manually. However, this process is laborious and time-consuming. In addition, some women argue that this is painful. Therefore, you need a professional help (preferably hospital staff, who teach this).
It is important to remember that the squeezing will be successful only if you relax and rest. First of all you should wash your hands (always before contacting with food), and wipe chest with a damp towel. Then sit comfortably and think about your kid (you can look at his/her picture) and only then begin squeezing.
A simpler version of the efficient and pain-free squeezing is to use milk suckers.
You should pay particular attention to Premium Canpol milk sucker. It has several advantages, for example, mimics the natural process of sucking the baby (if you press the knob and keep it in this position, the pumping power is reduced, just as feeding the baby). Squeeze milk safely, gently and quickly (so in case of a milk overflow it will help to keep from stagnation and inflammation of the breast). You can regulate this milk sucker yourself (you decide how often to press the handle, and how to apply the force). In addition, Premium Canpol is small and quiet, it can be used even in public places. It has a silicone mouthpiece, which stimulates milk ducts in the allocation of milk. Among other things, it is hygienic and easy to use (it consists of 5 elements). Decant the milk directly into the bottle from which you can then feed the baby, or tighten its lid, put in the refrigerator. But at the same time do not forget that squeezed milk can be stored, only observing special conditions. Here they are:
12 hours at room temperature.
48 hours in the refrigerator (temp 3 – 5 ° C).
A week in the freezer (temp – 10 ° C). First, cool the milk in the fridge.
6 months in the freezer (temp. -18 To -20 ° C).
Choose the best!
Now in pharmacies there is a very large selection of milk suckers. Electric milk suckers are the most popular ones. They, of course, squeeze milk in a better way, but many women complain of psychological discomfort. They need rest, but the sound of the engine is loud and unpleasant. The most convenient are manual ones. They mimic the natural process of child sucking. You should choose the most convenient variant yourself.
Breast-Feeding Pose
Breast feeding is a wonderful experience that a woman undergoes in her life. It may be difficult for the first time but once you identify a pose i.e. comfortable to you and the baby, then it becomes a good experience. If your baby does not feel comfortable then he may stop sucking. Here are some tips that may help you find a pose which will be comfortable both for you and your baby.
Find a comfortable place at your home which will be away from all distractions. Before starting feeding get some water and extra cushions which may help you while feeding. Further it will be ideal if you can switch off your phone at the time of breast feeding to avoid distraction.

PROBLEMS of breastfeeding
Here are some breastfeeding problems that may arise due to the uncomfortable position of breastfeeding: – back pain, neck, hands;
1) chest pain during feeding;
2) problems with the nipples;
3) pinning, crushing the chest in an uncomfortable position and, as a consequence, the stagnation of milk, mastitis;
In other words, breastfeeding should be convenient – it is not a luxury but a vital necessity for both mother and baby, ensuring a long and successful breastfeeding.
“Cradle”
POSE FOR BREAST FEEDING number 1: “Cradles”
So, in order to feed your child properly you must:
1) Feel comfortable. Create, if necessary, support for your head, hands, legs, back;
2) Locate the child at your breast: the nipple in front of the mouth – in its natural height. Do not move the breasts to the
child, on the contrary, bring the baby to you breast. If necessary – create a support for the child;
3) Child’s body should not be curved: ear, shoulder and hip should be on the same line;
4) The neck of the child must be straightened. Baby’s head should not be either thrown back or omitted – in both cases it would be awkward to swallow;
5) It is desirable that there is minimal clothing on a mother and a child. Contact “skin-to-skin” is very useful and important (especially at an early age);
6) Always have drinking water near you – while nursing you often get thirsty.
”Cross cradle”
POSE FOR BREASTFEEDING number 2: “CROSS Cradles”
For greater convenience while feeding it is recommended to use pillows (there are also special pillows for breastfeeding), bolsters, folded blankets.
It is convenient to breastfeed in the sling. It can be comfortable for others to feed even while moving, during the execution of simple household chores or engaging with the older child.
“Lying on your back”
POSE FOR BREASTFEEDING number 3: “Lying on your back”
Remember that breast-feeding from different positions during the day, has great practical value. The most famous pose of breastfeeding is “cradle”. Mother is sitting; the baby lies under the breast on the mother’s hand, as in the cradle (hand supports the back of the child, the baby’s head is in the elbow). Mother must have support for her back and arms (for this you can sit on the couch or chair). It is advisable to create a footrest (ottoman, stool, inverted bowl), or sit cross-legged.
“Lying on the side on a bed”
POSE FOR BREASTFEEDING № 4: “Lying on the side on a bed”
When a baby and a mother just learn breast-feeding, this posture may not seem very comfortable. Therefore, for training a child the seizure of the breast, use the position of “cross-cradle”, when a mother supports the baby with hand, and uses the opposite breast.
”Lying on the side”
POSE FOR BREASTFEEDING № 5: “lying on your side”
In this case, the palm is under the back and shoulders of the child. The other hand feeds chest. But this posture has a drawback: the hand that holds the child may tire quickly, so you should either put a pillow for support under it, or gently change place of hands.
The most important thing is to feed with pleasure!
Pregnancy Diet
Rational nutrition is one of the main factors determining the physical health of everyone. And for the future mother’s nutrition is a necessary condition for normal fetal development, adequate course of pregnancy, health and wellness.
Diet for pregnant women
Pregnant women and then nursing mothers tastes and desires can change quite frequently. But long-term scientific observations allowed identifying common standards of nutrition in pregnancy, necessary for normal fetal development. A pregnant woman can satisfy all the nutritional needs only with the help of a balanced diet. Excessive or unbalanced diet during pregnancy causes a serious threat to the baby’s well-being.
Pregnant woman’s healthy diet: eat “live” food; eat more fruits, vegetables, herbs, edible wild herbs, nuts, germinated cereals. It is also important to exclude or limit the usage of fried food, which irritates the mucous membrane of the stomach and intestines, as well as salt. Don’t forget to monitor weight, blood and urine pressure. Development of a newborn depends on how a mother eats during pregnancy.
FEATURES of PREGNANCY DIET
Every day a pregnant woman needs proteins, fats, carbohydrates, fiber and other important substances. Therefore, the diet of a pregnant woman should include all main food groups:
- Meat (preferably beef, lean, pork, lamb, chicken, turkey, rabbit, but not sausages or hot dogs);
- Fish and fish products (preferably low-fat varieties – cod, hake, etc.);
- Milk and dairy products (including yogurt, cheese, sour cream, curds, etc.);
- Bread (preferably from rye flour or bran) and bakery products;
- Cereals (preferably oatmeal and buckwheat), and pasta;
- Dietary fat (20-40 g butter and 15-20 g vegetable fat – sunflower, corn, soy, olive oil).
During pregnancy, adequate consumption of vegetables (300-500 grams a day) and fruit (preferably not less than 200 g per day) is very necessary during pregnancy. Sugar and confectionery products (preferably marshmallows, candy, low-fat cakes) should be consumed in limited quantities (up to 60-80 grams per day).
Particularly useful vegetables are: carrots, beets, zucchini, tomatoes, cucumbers, parsley, dill, celery, and it is better to limit the usage of potatoes, cabbage. From fruit are recommended apples, pears, apricot, plum, cherry, peach, banana, they should be more attentive with citrus, kiwi, grapefruit, mango.
Pregnant women must get the right amount of vitamins and multielements, they also need extra multivitamins which are made especially for pregnant women and contain all the necessary vitamins, minerals and trace elements. 3-6 months before planning pregnancy, a woman with her husband should take folic acid (100 mcg 4 times a day for the prevention of malformations of the nervous system of the fetus and continue using it in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy) or a complex of vitamins for pregnant women with folic acid. Multivitamins also must be taken in the period of pregnancy and breast-feeding.
PREGNANCY DIET AND MULTIELEMENTS
Calcium and iron are very important. Calcium is necessary for the formation of the musculoskeletal system of the fetus. When there is insufficient flow of calcium from food this can lead to lower bone density (osteoporosis).
The main sources of calcium are milk and dairy products: yogurt, curds, especially cheese.
Insufficiency of dietary iron is the main cause of widespread anemia among pregnant women, and later among infants. Therefore, pregnant women should receive adequate amount of iron that is derived mainly from meat, fish, liver, apples and other fruit, cereals. Women in the second half of pregnancy need to receive 30 mg of dietary iron. Therefore they need additional oral iron or iron-containing vitamin-mineral complexes.
Iodine is a part of the thyroid hormones. It is required from the third month of pregnancy. Sources of iodine are: iodized salt, sea kale, sea fish.
Endocrinologists recommend pregnant women to take drugs which contain iodine.
Zinc is involved in the formation of fetal bones, and with its lack, a child may be born too small. Sources of zinc: fish oil, nuts, onion, pumpkin seeds, peas and beans.
PREGNANCY DIET: WHAT AND HOW?
Pregnant women in the second half of pregnancy should gain 300 grams of vitamins per week, and for the entire period of pregnancy should it should reach 10-12 kg.
Pregnant women must use cereals (wheat, buckwheat, oats), whole-grain bread, various vegetables (beets, carrot), fruit and berries (especially cherry, apple, plum), dried fruits in order to get sufficient number of dietary fiber.
As we have already said pregnant women should limit salt (up to 7-8 grams per day).
Just like during pregnancy, during breast-feeding mothers should limit or completely exclude certain food from their diet. This is especially important if a child is only breastfed, there are adverse reactions such as unstable stool, frequent regurgitation, bloating, skin rashes. These products are chocolate, coffee, whole milk, citrus fruit. In addition, some products (onion, garlic, spices) can give unusual smell and taste to milk, because of which the child can refuse the breast. During the entire period of breastfeeding, women should continue taking additional specialized vitamin and mineral complexes and products mentioned above.
In conclusion, it must be said that good food and rest are key components of mother’s and child’s health.
7 Tips Before Childbirth
The date of the appearance of the child into the world is very close, and you increasingly think about what you will feel. Your anxiety and mixed feelings are natural. But usually there is an unknown fear of something. And you are already well prepared for childbirth and meeting the child. Do not hold the emotion in yourself. Talk to your child how much you have to wait for his/her birth, his/her name, describe the room where he/she will live. Very soon your baby will be with you.
1) The first signal.
You are afraid that everything will begin at night and you will not have time to get to the hospital? Do not worry. It’s even better if, at the time of labor pains, you can get some sleep. You’ll need some power. Just tell yourself: “I will have a healthy physiological childbirth. And try to sleep. But be aware of the fact that the beginning of the birth may be different: sometimes a few days before the event the cork goes out (a small lump of mucus). In any case, look at the color and amount and be sure to tell the doctor everything. Remember the important rule: once the water started to move away, the child should not be in pain more than 6 hours (maximum 12 hours). So you should be in the maternity hospital, do not delay.
2) The path-way.
Something is pulling at the bottom of your stomach? Contractions are repeated every 10 minutes? So, it’s time to give birth. Explain to your husband, what happens to you, let him help and support. While your husband prepares something to eat, take a shower. Water removes the pain and helps to relax.
Do not forget: your bag, your passport and the exchange of maps.
If you go on your own, it is better to sit in the back seat and relax!
3) Procedures.
In the reception at hospital record your data, measure the pressure and weight. Better pre-shave at home, but if you
did not have time don’t worry, you’ll be shaved in the maternity hospital.
4) Help.
Cervix is gradually revealed, fights are intense, and the intervals between them are reduced. If the pain becomes intolerable, doctors may suggest anesthesia. Do not rush to accept. Think about the upcoming battle, unpleasant pain. Try to focus on the kid: talk with him/her, put your hand on belly (baby has much more pain than you and you should always remember that and try not to hold breath, and it is difficult for him/her to breathe). Encourage your child!
5) A comfortable posture.
To reduce the pain, you can move, take any convenient position. Relax! Try not to stretch the muscles of the face. First, the drawing of muscles near the eye may affect the eyesight. Secondly, because of this red dots may appear on the face. Contractions will be easier, if you walk. Try to swing with the hips. This dance relaxes perineum muscles and helps to open the uterus. Then lie for a couple of minutes and relax, but then rise – movement is very important. Experienced nurses will tell you how to breathe correctly. You should listen carefully and faithfully follow their advice! This is very important!
6) In a difficult moment.
You have heard about gap and cut? It is not necessary that this happens to you. But even if it happens, do not worry. The doctor gently and quickly makes the necessary incision. You do not feel it. And after birth, when the baby is peacefully snuffling in your abdomen, the doctor will apply sutures. There is nothing to be afraid of.
7) Now you are a mother.
Finally, the head appeared! So the most difficult part is over. Soon it should be born! Look how handsome he/she is! After the usual procedures of weighing, measuring growth, examination of a pediatrician, the baby will be put on your stomach and you will be able to hug your miracle. It is a reward for your work! That’s it! Congratulations!
Lullabies
Lullaby is probably the only part of folklore, which has survived to our days, and continues to develop. For many centuries lullabies accompany our children to their sweet dreams, and, despite technological advances, do not lose their significance. Nobody has ever even tried to replace them. Why lullabies are so popular? And why they are irreplaceable?
Why do babies need lullabies?
Lullabies are needed for children of all ages. Their first task is to reassure the child and set him/her on a strong healthy sleep.
Melodic, simple, quiet – lullabies like both small babies, and their parents. In many families, lullabies are traditional conclusion of the day, the ritual, and they cannot do without it.
This is the child’s first contact with the art, and it is very important. A child hears it, learns to perceive both normal conversation and song. He/she gets accustomed to his/her mother, remembers the melody and learns it. Later he/she begins to distinguish the words and repeats them. Small children like to sing lullabies to their dolls, and even parents.
Lullabies help to establish a strong link between a child and his parents. At the time of going to bed a close contact between mother and child is required. The kid must feel that he/she is not alone helping him/her to relax from daily cares. These simple songs help to show sincere feelings.
From their infancy, people remember the voice of their mother. Lullabies are songs which are written using the notes of pure love and collect them in tenderness harmony. Something magical is store in a lullaby melody. It comforts, soothes, makes forget about the pain and helps to sleep.
When a child is very small, that is, it is still in its infancy, he/she gets accustomed to a certain voice that will serve him/her for a sign or a symbol of security and peace.
Then, when your child will grow up a little, he/she still loves and responds to the native voice.
Lullabies are an excellent alternative to other means of calming the child. Instead shaking and long conversations, this gives a much better result.
Why lullabies are better?
Of course, now there are many inventions to replace live lullaby. There are singing toys, CDs and just the TV. Some parents have resorted to such assistants, believing that these songs are no worse than traditional lullabies.
Other parents cite the fact that absolutely can not sing and do not want their child to be accustomed to the fake songs.
But it is important who does it.
No toy or tape recorder can replace the love of a child with which his/her mother hugs him/her

before going to bed, singing even the simplest motifs.
It doesn’t matter what lullaby you sing (you can even create your own version). Your presence and
care is much more important.
The toy or a TV can be brighter and more interesting than your songs, but the child always prefers to sleep in your presence than to listen to a monotonous grumbling of the unfeeling box.
Are lullabies only for mothers?
Traditionally, lullabies are sung by women – mothers and grandmothers. But now fathers also try to sing. The childshould feel the love of both parents, so it is not surprising that, over time your child may require to sing for him/her father or even grandfather.
Men prefer the traditional lullaby songs from cartoons, or even compose their own songs, and it is not worse than those songs that Mothers sing.
If you are unsure whether it was lullaby to your child, just try to sing it at least a week. Kids like this way of lying in the cot if only you’re close to them, regardless of the quality of performance. Despite the achievement of the industry of toys, mankind did not invent a better way to put the child to sleep.
Vacation with Children -What you Need to Know?
That’s not far off vacation season. And many parents are beginning to ask themselves the question: how to spend it? What’s better: a short flight or a long trip by train? Let’s study everything together.
Vacation with children: age
Regarding age, most pediatricians have expressed the concern that up to 3 years of age it is better to avoid any long-distance travel. Of course, this does not mean that the child should spend summer in the gassy city. If there is an opportunity to make frequent raids on the nearby cottage, it would be ideal. In any case, before deciding to go on vacation with your child, consult with your doctor. It will assess the health of your child and give you the answer whether he/she is ready to travel or you have to wait.
Vacation with children: Where to go?
It is generally accepted that the smaller the child, the more he/she needs in its usual environment. Yalta, Anapa has always been considered the most suitable for children.
The climate of Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Baltic countries and, in principle, other European countries can also be good for young travelers. With regard to such favorite place as Turkey, it’s better to go in such hot countries with small children no later than in May.
Vacation with children: Acclimatization
It is important to know that if you decide to leave with the child to a country involving the change of climate, then the vacation should last no less than a month. The point is that during the sudden change of environment children need some time for acclimatization, which in some cases may take up to 10 days. During acclimatization there can be a slight stomach upset, cough and runny nose, fever.
Vacation with children: Transport
What kind of transport to choose for the trip – plane, train or car – every parent decides for himself, based on many factors, including financial capability. No doubt that plane will be the best choice as the kids do not have to shake a few days in the stuffy train. But experts urge to bear in mind that flights are usually accompanied by strong burden for the ears, which often provokes the occurrence of otitis among children.
If your child is sick on the road, consult with your doctor about the possibility of using special medications.
In the first days after arrival organize for your child a sparing treatment. Do not overload the child’s emotions and experiences, keep in mind that the sleep is the best tool to recover after a difficult and expensive deal with acclimatization.
Being in the sun in the first few days should not exceed 3 – 5 minutes. Do not also forget that the safest sun is in the morning (before 11.00) and in the evening (after 17.00) hours.
Vacation with children: other important points
Choosing the place for vocation with the child needs special sensitivity. One of the main conditions is the existence of a special children diet menu. Choose a hotel located on the first line, as close as possible to the sea. With regard to the beach, it is better to choose on the sand, with a sloping entrance to the water. Pay attention to the hotel’s infrastructure (playground, children’s pool, animation).
The room must have a refrigerator, air conditioning, comfortable beds for children. Remember that unusual food (especially in the context of climate change) may cause stomach upset. In any case, take with you some food for the kid.
Keep in mind, that you should never use water from the tap.
It is better to take more things than to detect that something is missing. Children’s clothes will not take much space. Take warm clothes, in case of sudden cooling.
If you are still using diapers, it is better to take them with you.
Wet wipes would be of invaluable assistance on the road, and on the beach.
Do not forget special cream and powder for children’s sensitive skin.
Always take with you such things as a ball, inflatable mattress, swimming circle and all the necessary medicines. These are:
- thermometer;
- remedy for burns;
- febrifuge;
- activated carbon;
- bandage and cotton wool;
- plaster, iodine, hydrogen peroxide;
- drops for the nose;
- special protective cream against insects.
Exercises for Beautiful Hands
Trying on summer clothes in front of the mirror, you can see not an attractive picture – hand muscles has lost elasticity, become sluggish and put on some weight. You can solve this problem in several ways.
Method 1: out of sight
Of course, it’s very unpleasant to feel that your muscles are not in good shape. “Sealing” yourself with long-sleeved blouses and jackets, you can hide this shortcoming. Of course, in summer, you will have to sweat.
Method 2: Tension
If the muscles are out of shape it is especially noticeable when moving hands. Therefore, you can ask yourself a setting to stretch the muscles at each wave of the hand. In this case, the surrounding will not see the flabbiness of the hand muscles, but only constraint motions.
Method 3: Rowing
Among fans of rowing the muscle tone of the hands is in order. For example, for a one-week trip by canoe hand muscles are pulled in a way that the problem recedes for at least 4 month. You don’t have to go very far away from civilization, and can just wave paddles at city pools, rowing a boat.
Method 4: Home fitness
In order to keep hand muscles taut and beautiful you should work over three shoulder muscles: biceps, triceps and deltoid.
For the exercises you will need 2 dumbbells each 1.5 kg. They can be replaced with plastic bottles with water or sand.
While doing exercises test the tension of that muscle, which you are currently training.
Warming up
Jumping with skipping rope, an improvisation under the music or a fight with an imaginary opponent will be a perfect start of the training. In order to warm up the shoulder muscles, use exercises which are known from childhood: rotating with straight hands and jerk bent in front of the breast with your hands.
Training deltoid muscle
If in 50’s of the last century, people with sloping shoulders were considered to be fashionable, now everything has changed – the shoulders should be straight. This can be achieved by training the deltoid muscle, which is felt when we raise our hands up. The starting position for all exercises: stand up straight, feet at shoulder width, hands with dumbbells in your palms.
Lift slightly the hands to the shoulders.
Repeat this exercise 7-10 times.
Lift your hands straight ahead to the chest. Then drop them without bending.
Repeat this exercise 7-10 times.
Lift the dumbbells along the body to the armpits.
Repeat this exercise 7-10 times.
Training biceps
Is there any man who does not like to play with biceps, showing ladies his virility? Beautiful muscles can decorate even women’s hands. You can feel biceps when you bend your arms in the elbow, putting the heavy bags bought for a week of provisions in the trunk.
The starting position for all exercises: stand straight, feet at shoulder width. Bend your arms in the elbow, in order to remain the elbows against the waist.
Repeat this exercise 7-10 times.
Bend your arms in the elbow one by one.
Repeat this exercise 5-7 times for each hand.
Training triceps
If the biceps and the deltoid muscles are always in motion, triceps always “sit” on the spare bench. This leads to the fact that people even youth, have unattractive triceps. So, seeing your friends off and shaking them goodbye, you can easily demonstrate to others your flabby triceps.
Exercises with dumbbells
Stand up straight, feet at shoulder width. Hands with dumbbells pressed to the body and the palms turned to the body. Lean forward.
Unbend and bend the hand, following that the elbows are pressed to the waist.
Repeat this exercise 7-10 times.
Lie on the stomach. Hands with dumbbells stretch along the body.
Raise your hands up.
Repeat this exercise 10-12 times.
Exercises without dumbbells – push-ups
Sit down squat back to the chair. Hands put on a seat.
Wring out from a chair.
Repeat this exercise 3-5 times.
Stand up in a distance of a step from the wall. Hands rest against the wall at chest level.
Wring out of the wall, keeping body straight following that the heels do not hop off the floor and hands in the final position are compressed against the body.
Repeat this exercise 3-5 times.
Training in this way three times a week, in a month will be noticeable that your hands are strong and the muscles are stretched.
Mothers Differ
It is a duty of every young parent to take the child (or children) to walk every day, even in terrible weather as children waste their energy on the street.
Who are your allies on the playground?
A skinny mother on heels
Distinctive features of such a mother – light weight, skinny ass and heels. In especially severe cases she wears boots made of suede, and she goes to the sandbox to make a pancake in them.
Other mothers often wonder: can the skinny woman on heels quickly run up to her son/ daughter, if he/she, say, is falling from slides.
Apparently, it all depends on the stability of the heel and limber of the woman.
Mothers with phone
She comes to the ground, pushing a pram with one hand and holding the phone with another. If she needs to roll pram with both hands – she presses phone on shoulder or uses a headset.
By releasing her child to sandbox, she sits on the bench and continues to talk, looking somewhere without noticing that her child takes someone else’s toys, throws sand. When a mother with a phone, finally, notices that her baby dropped a couple of strangers in order to take their cars, she approaches, without leaving the phone aside and without interrupting the conversation.
Mother with beer
She comes with a bag of toys and pours them into the sandbox, and considers her mission in relation to the child is over. She takes beer and starts enjoying it just in the playground.
Periodically, she lights a cigarette, deftly identifying the wind direction, so that the smoke does not bear on her child, but on you and your children. Usually, she communicates with her girlfriend and loudly uses obscene words. You can make a remark, but it is just useless.
Women with twins
The one who has characteristic circles under the eyes is definitely a mother. The one who is older is grandmother. They
always walk in pair and are mostly catching twins in different corners of the playground, so their system is completely closed and does not require the flow of information from the outside.
Mother of a glamorous girl
There is always a glamorous girl in the playground, and usually more than one. Pretty Princess comes to the walk in a smart dress; her shoes are equipped with red flashing lights, and clothes carefully combining shades of lilac and pink. Miss Piggi nervously smokes in the corner because of jealousy.
Mother of such a girl looks as if she has come just from the office between meetings with business partners.
Ideal Mother
She walks more with the child starting from early ages of his/her development. She always wears comfortable clothes. Her chils is child is too advanced, absorbs too much fresh air, she/he is far too patient, she has the perfect order of the house … She is never irritable and does not use violence.
Gentle woman with a baby
It is unclear why she comes to a playground with her baby in the pram-cot? It is clear that she wants to communicate. But the gentle woman always crinkles when older children shout or are running around, being afraid that they will wake her baby up.
Babysitter
Nurse is distinguished by comfortable dress – she first put a cap, her comfortable shoes and warm jacket. After all, she has to spend 3 hours outside so that the child could normally sleep, rather than read, draw, play games at home.
As the nurse is not full of maternal love, she clearly has time to look at surrounding mothers, who just don’t behave pedagogically.
